Alexi Khajavi is Managing Director of the EMEA region and Chairs the Hospitality & Travel Group for Questex LLC. He is responsible for the overall management and development of the company’s global hospitality and destination communications properties and events including the Hotel Management Group, the International Hotel Investment Forum (IHIF) Summit Series, Destination Develop and Destination Development Investment Services, HOTEC and other destination and hotel investment events in the UK, Europe, Middle East, and Africa.
Khajavi, who brings more than 17 years of travel, hospitality and marketing and sales experience to his position, joined Questex in 2014 as senior managing director of Destination Develop, a new digital media platform covering global tourism industry investment opportunities at the destination level, and Destination Develop Investment Services, an in-house agency that develops marketing and matchmaking campaigns and services for destinations and private-sector businesses in tourism looking for investment.
Prior to joining Questex, Khajavi was senior vice president, global strategy, for MercuryCSC, a creative agency specializing in the travel industry where he helped grow the firm’s billings four-fold and designed global marketing campaigns for travel companies, tourism boards and airlines. Prior to MercuryCSC, he was one of the founding team members of the travel consortium Nature Group located in Central America and helped guide the airline and hospitality portfolio in being the fastest growing travel company in Central America between 2003 and 2010.

Prior to joining Panmure Gordon he was a Senior Civil Servant, latterly at the Cabinet Office as Chief of Staff to the UK Government’s Chief Operating Officer.

Richard is a specialist in macro and real estate economics. He joined CBRE in 2014 as Executive Director and Global Chief Economist. Prior to taking up his position with CBRE, Richard was a Director of Research for the Grosvenor Group an international business with circa $10bn of capital under management in real estate. He was also a non-Executive Director of Grosvenor Fund Management where he was involved in fund strategy, risk analysis and capital raising. Richard is the author of two books and numerous academic and industry papers. In 2012 he published ‘Real Estate and Globalisation’ (Wiley Blackwell, Oxford), which explains the impact on real estate markets of the rise of emerging markets such as China and Brazil. He has extensive consulting experience and is a Visiting Professor in the Department of Construction and Project Management at the Bartlett School, University College London. He holds a PhD in economics from the University of Reading where he taught, in the Departments of Economics and Land Management, between the years of 1987 and 1998.

Andreas is Head of Hospitality & Leisure based in our London office. He has extensive advisory and M&A experience across the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the USA. As a member of the Travel, Hospitality & Leisure Executive he is responsible for shaping the Hospitality & Leisure agenda, as well as working with the firm's global network. He also sits on the board of directors of STR, the leading benchmark data provider in the hotel industry.
His key areas of expertise include commercial due diligence, strategic reviews and advice, bank support, feasibility, and market analysis. In addition, Andreas has advised on over £30bn of debt exposure across the hospitality & leisure sectors in recent years, providing operational reviews, independent business reviews, strategic advice, as well as defining workout options and evaluating rebranding/positioning opportunities. His client experience includes many of the leading global brands/operators, private equity and hedge funds, property investors and developers, as well as overseas investment funds.
Prior to joining Deloitte, Andreas was the International Managing Director at Christie & Co where he had responsibility for 16 offices across Europe and the Middle East, as well as the China Desk. Furthermore he headed up the Consultancy service line across the firm. Andreas previously worked for both Arthur Andersen and Deloitte across the US and Europe and has operational hotel experience in Hong Kong, the USA and Europe.
Andreas regularly speaks/moderates at leading hospitality conferences and is frequently quoted in international, national and trade publications. He is a graduate of Cornell's School of Hotel Administration and also speaks fluent German and Swiss German.

Chris Day joined Christie & Co in 1985 and, having worked in the Manchester, Birmingham and London Offices, was appointed Managing Director in 1993. He has overall responsibility for all Christie & Co's specialist transactional and advisory activities. Chris has overseen the successful expansion of Christie & Co into a truly global firm, which currently has 30 offices throughout Europe and an active Asian Investment team.
Based in the London office, Chris has particular responsibility for our UK operations and travels regularly across Europe, Asia and the USA. He specialises in the sale and valuation of hotels, public houses and restaurants and has led teams handling numerous disposal and valuation assignments for many high profile clients.
Chris is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and member of the International Society of Hospitality Consultants (ISHC). Pierre-Frédéric Roulot is the CEO of Louvre Hotels Group, the international hospitality player based in Paris, France.
He joined the Group in 2007, bringing more than 25 years of experience in the service industry including extensive knowledge in marketing, brand management, operations management and franchise network development.
Since the acquisition of the group by the Chinese conglomerate Jin Jiang in March 2015, Pierre- Frédéric has been successfully collaborating with his new shareholder to smoothly integrate Louvre Hotels Group to their existing structure while pursuing sound business development.
In December 2015, in addition to his current role, Pierre-Frédéric was named CEO of Groupe du Louvre – the holding of Louvre Hotels Group – which has become the new European headquarters of Jin Jiang International. He is responsible for implementing European development strategies of Jin Jiang, supporting Louvre Hotels Group to achieve better performance, as well as facilitating and coordinating the growth of its brands in China.
In 2017, he is named CEO of Metropolo brands by Jin Jiang.
Prior to joining Louvre Hotels Group, Pierre-Frédéric spent 20 years with McDonald’s where he served in various strategic positions including Deputy Managing Director for France and Operations Director, Southern Europe.
Pierre-Frédéric holds a Master’s Degree in Strategic Management from HEC Paris. A French citizen, he is married with two children and lives in Paris, France.

Anders Nissen is the CEO of Pandox, a leading European hotel property company. Anders was one of the initiators in the formation of Pandox and has served as the company’s CEO since its inception in 1995. Under Anders’ management Pandox has expanded from a narrow local and regional base in Sweden to a company with a well-diversified hotel property portfolio in some of the largest hotel markets in the world. Before joining Pandox Anders was Managing Director for Securum Hotel & Turism AB where he led the restructuring of Securum’s hotel property portfolio. Anders has a thorough knowledge of the hotel industry, with professional experience as hotel director for several hotels in Sweden, as well as a number of executive positions within the RESO organisation. Anders’ has a lifelong interest in handball and he is chairman of the organisation responsible for arranging international games and championships in Sweden.

Thomas Willms joined Steigenberger Hotels AG, one of Europe’s leading hotel companies, as Chief Operating Officer in June 2017. Since January 2018, he has held the position of Chief Executive Officer.
In his capacity as a Board Member, he assumes overall operational responsibility for all hotel brands. Strategy, Future Openings & Franchise, Corporate Communications, Sales & Marketing, E-Business, Revenue Management and Corporate Social Responsibility also fall within his remit.
Steigenberger Hotels AG encompasses almost 150 hotels which are either already operational or at the planning stage in 20 countries across Europe, Africa and Asia. The company’s umbrella brand “Deutsche Hospitality” covers the five brands of Steigenberger Hotels & Resorts, MAXX by Steigenberger, Jaz in the City, IntercityHotel and Zleep Hotels.
Thomas Willms worked over 20 years for Starwood Hotels & Resorts, most recently as Senior Vice President Central & Eastern Europe, prior to this at the company’s Brussels office as Vice President Development and Brands. Previously he was employed by ArabellaStarwood Hotelmanagement GmbH as Managing Director and worked also for Maritim Hotels and the Intercontinental Hotels Group.
Mr. Willms was born in Jever in 1961. He holds an executive master’s degree in business administration in Tourism Management at Chur University of Applied Sciences (Switzerland) and Delaware (USA).
The many years of expertise he has acquired at various prestigious hotel companies have earned him a reputation as an acknowledged authority within the industry. During his professional career, Mr. Willms has been appointed to a range of specialist and executive roles in the fields of food & beverage, development, marketing, hotel opening and franchising. He has worked in the USA, the UK, Belgium and Austria.
Jenny Zhang – CEO, Huazhu Group

Min (Jenny) Zhang has served as our executive vice chair-lady since November 2019. She was our chief executive officer since May 2015 to November 2019, previously President. She also served as our chief financial officer and chief strategy officer during March 2008 to May 2015, and November 2013 to January 2015, respectively.
Ms. Jenny Zhang has ten years of experience in finance and consulting in China, US and Thailand. Prior to joining Huazhu Group Limited in 2007, She served as the finance director of Eli Lilly (Asia) Inc., Thailand Branch and the chief financial officer of ASIMCO Casting (Beijing) Company, Ltd.
Ms. Zhang received her bachelor’s degree in international business management and master’s degree in economics from the University of International Business and Economics in June 1994 and July 1997, respectively. She worked as a management consultant prior to receiving a master’s degree in business administration from Harvard Business School in June 2003.
